Weymouth old harbour is a popular stop for visiting tall ships, the tall ship in this picture is a replica 16th century Spanish ship that visited Weymouth harbour in May 2017. Throughout the season there are many tall ships that visit the old harbour, with some offering tours and trips out to the bay. The tall ship 'The Astrid' was based at Weymouth old harbour where she was used as a training vessel. Sadly she ran aground off the Irish coast and sank in 2013.
